Yinxiang, the thirteenth prince, is young, dashing, and endowed with a chivalrous spirit. When he first sees Sifu in the main courtyard, he is struck by her fragile beauty and pities her plight, going so far as to blurt out concern for her health. He later encounters her on the palace road and advises her not to overwork herself. His attention to her causes Yinzhen to feel uneasy. Yinxiang is also noted for being indifferent toward the newly lively Gege Ruoxi, unlike some other princes. He is straightforward and somewhat impulsive, yet his care for Sifu is tender and respectful.
