In the unformed Chaos, time and order did not exist. Deep within, an unopened Green Lotus silently condensed, containing two beings: Pangu, the future creator, and his younger brother Hong Yuan, a human who had transmigrated into a Chaos Demon God body through a system. Hong Yuan awoke beside Pangu, who instinctively recognized him as brother and nurtured him with refined Chaotic Qi and a portion of his own Primordial Essence. However, Hong Yuan was too weak to remain conscious for long and repeatedly slept for countless primordial tribulations. During his awakenings, he told Pangu fantastic stories, and their bond deepened. Over vast ages, the Three Thousand Chaos Demon Gods emerged one after another, each declaring their Law to the Great Dao: Time, Space, Karma, Yin Yang, Life and Death, Destruction, and many more. Hong Yuan, however, found his cultivation stuck at the Mixed Yuan Golden Immortal peak. He possessed multiple Laws but none could break through to the saintly Mixed Yuan Great Luo Jinxian realm. He was the only being in Chaos below that level, making him extremely vulnerable.

After a long hibernation, the system finally repaired itself. It revealed that Pangu’s birth was imminent and his Primordial Essence had been slightly damaged due to Hong Yuan’s insertion. The system presented three choices. The first was to abandon Pangu, letting him be born weakened, and receive as reward a breakthrough to Mixed Yuan Great Luo Jinxian, fifty drops of Pangu’s blood and essence, and the Chaos Green Lotus. The second was to save his elder brother, obtaining a portion of Pangu’s Primordial Essence and the Chaos Pearl, one of the five Chaos Supreme Treasures. The third was to betray Pangu and join the Three Thousand Demon Gods in their coming battle against him, receiving immediate birth, Mixed Yuan Supreme Great Luo Jinxian cultivation, and the Heaven-Opening Axe. Hong Yuan chose the second without hesitation. He owed his life and safety to Pangu and could not repay that kindness with betrayal.

The system extracted the Chaos Pearl from the Demon God Chaos, who erupted in fury, shaking the Chaos with his roars, though he could not find the thief. It also took a piece of Pangu’s Primordial Essence. Hong Yuan immediately offered this essence to Pangu, who absorbed it, strengthening himself and increasing his certainty for the task ahead. The Great Dao then turned its gaze upon them. Hong Yuan boldly addressed it as “Father.” The Great Dao seemed to withdraw, but soon sent down the World-Extinguishing Mill, another Chaos Supreme Treasure of immense destructive power, capable of grinding all things to nothingness. Hong Yuan spent a long time refining both the Chaos Pearl and the Mill, initially mastering fifty of their fifty-five restrictions. Despite these treasures, his cultivation remained stuck; he could not even reach the Mixed Yuan Great Luo Jinxian. He began to suspect that his path would only be revealed after Pangu opened Heaven.

Finally, Pangu stood up from the lotus platform, his power reaching Half-Step Mixed Yuan Limitless Great Luo Jinxian. He declared his existence to the Great Dao as the Demon God of Strength. The Great Dao approved. In an instant, a heavy karma connected Pangu to every other Chaos Demon God, a death sentence from the Great Dao. The Karma Demon God, sensing the crisis, contacted the strongest among them: Time, Yang Mei, Yin Yang, Destruction, and others. He explained that this was a trial set by the Great Dao—they must unite and fight Pangu or be destroyed. The gathered Demon Gods, seeing no alternative, began to prepare for the war that would decide the fate of Chaos. Hong Yuan, still weak, could only watch as his brother prepared for the coming storm. He knew that Pangu’s victory would mean the birth of the world, but his own role remained uncertain.

Overall, this story hits a great balance between epic myth, brotherly feels, and self-aware humor. It’s not afraid to be silly with tropes like dump trucks and systems, but it also commits to its emotional core. The bond between Pangu and Hong Yuan is genuine, the antagonists have understandable motivations, and the world feels massive. I’m genuinely excited to see how the plot changes from the original myth. If the writer keeps this quality, I’m definitely reading more.

I really like the scene where Hong Yuan feels lonely because he’s weak. That emotional touch made him relatable. He’s not just some cocky protagonist. He’s genuinely scared. That little line about how the chaotic energy flow could kill him without Pangu’s protection grounds the cosmic story. It reminds us that power is relative. Even in a world of gods, he’s still struggling. That vulnerability is what makes his journey interesting.

The portrayal of chaos demon gods as having the same fears, paranoia, and alliances as mortals is refreshing. They’re not just forces of nature; they’re petty, worried, and strategic. That one guy screaming for his Chaos Pearl made them feel very human. It turns the epic, massive setting into a playground of egos and schemes. That makes me invested in their characters too, not just the main duo.

I wish the author explored Hong Yuan’s emotions more when the system first gave him the choices. The decision is huge, and while he picks option two, I felt like the internal conflict could have been longer. The system dangles amazing rewards in front of him, and he just picks the brotherhood choice almost instantly. While that fits his character, a moment of hesitation or doubt would have made the choice feel more impactful to me.

The fight setup with the demon gods huddling together is a classic trope, but the execution here feels more urgent because of the Karma Demon God’s insight. The fact that they’re terrified of Pangu makes him scarier without him even fighting yet. It builds anticipation. I want to see how this alliance forms, who betrays who, and if Hong Yuan plays any role in protecting his brother from the backstabbing. There’s a lot of potential for dramatic tension here.

Pangu’s growth from a simple, honest figure to a half-step Great Dao powerhouse is both cool and sad. I love seeing him get stronger, but I know what strength means for him. The author does a great job of making the reader feel bittersweet about his power-up. Every mention of him shaking Chaos is a reminder that his destiny is to break it all apart. That looming tragedy adds a lot of depth to what might have been a straightforward power fantasy.
