I’m most looking forward to seeing how the appetite connects to the electricity. Is he turning calories into electricity? Can he generate energy from food? The push-ups and sit-ups being easier suggests some physical enhancement. If the story is going to be about him becoming a super-strong eater, that’s fine, but I hope it’s more creative. The defibrillator addiction is such a unique starting point that I’d be disappointed if it just becomes a generic “eat to get stronger” web novel. Let’s see.
The elevator ride scene with his puffy eyes and the pressure in his eardrums sets the physical discomfort so well. You can tell this guy hasn't slept properly in days even before the real trouble starts. The foreboding is thick enough to cut with a knife. And then Manager Wang's breakdown in the parking garage? That moment when the slick BMW guy can't even pretend to be composed anymore. That's when you know it's serious. When everyone's too stressed to keep up appearances.
The scene where Shen Anliu grabs Yu Sui’s ankle in the dormitory was extremely intimate and a bit unsettling. The power dynamic there—asking for consent but not really waiting for it—felt off. It makes me slightly wary of Shen Anliu’s “angelic” nature. I’m starting to think his kindness might be a mask. The way Yu Sui freaked out was fully justified. Not all contact is wanted.
1 The line about monsters appearing frequently in this town made me curious. It explains why there are so many high-ranked adventurers around. But it also hints at potential danger. I feel like the town itself has a character that will matter later.
