The toxic masculinity from Yang Likai was infuriating but realistic. His entitlement, his aggressive cursing, his assumption that he can do whatever he wants because he's rich. The way he treated Zhu Jiajia like property, then chased her down when she didn't behave how he expected. I hated him from the first line he spoke. Good villains are easy to hate, and Yang Likai is definitely easy to hate.
The way Qin Qianqian bought everyone cheap digital watches but got Shen Yan an expensive Omega watch... and Su Wang just went along with it saying "it was on sale"? Bro, open your eyes! Either he's playing dumb on purpose or he's genuinely naive, but I'm leaning towards the first option.
I really love how the story throws you right into the deep end. Most reincarnation stories give the MC years to prepare, but here we get just twelve hours before the first major plot point. That urgency makes every decision feel weighty. The whole time I was reading, I kept thinking “what would I do?” and honestly, I don’t think I’d have the guts to confront Mark like that. The way Shougo tries to use his meta knowledge to turn a guy who’s supposed to kill him into an ally is such a bold move.
20. Owen's personality is coming through clearly. He's pragmatic but emotional, smart enough to identify problems but not genius enough to instantly solve them. His internal monologue has a nice balance of humor, despair, and determination. He feels like someone who's been through enough life experience to know when to fold and when to push.
