The system’s role is still minimal at this point—just a life-saving boost. I hope the author doesn’t overuse it as a crutch. right now it feels like a tool to level the playing field, not a cheat code. The threat is still very real: Lin Che is surrounded by enemies in a house where everyone wants him dead or disgraced. The system gives him hope, but not safety. That’s a good balance.
The pyramid in the Longevity Exchange Secret Realm scene caught me off guard. I thought it was going to be another typical Chinese palace. The pyramid makes me think of ancient aliens or some advanced civilizations outside the typical cultivation world. It hints at a larger mythology.
The school setting adds to the claustrophobic feel. Dorms, classrooms, medical clinics, lakes, all familiar places that should be safe, now turned into potential death traps. The fact that it happened during evening classes when students are stuck in routines makes it worse. No one knows what's happening while they're studying. By morning, half the campus could be infected.
I'm most excited for the video content itself, "All or Nothing · Part One." The title suggests high stakes. Given the choices of world, it's likely something from Honkai Star Rail. Maybe it's the climax of the Penacony story? Or the destruction of the Xianzhou Luofu? The author mentioned wanting to show characters' reactions, so whatever video it is should be emotionally impactful. The fact that Lin Hai specifically chose this universe because he likes Mihoyo games makes me think he'll pick iconic moments: the Cocolia battle, the fall of the IPC, or something related to the Stellaron. I can't wait to see the watching characters' faces.
