Diting is a legendary beast first encountered as a statue on a stone gate in the Yama space, with a tiger head, unicorn horn, dog ears, dragon body, lion tail, and qilin feet, radiating ancient power. After Chu Qiu defeats it in combat, it transforms into a small white dog. King Yama explains it is a Diting cub, the guardian spirit of that space, and now belongs to Chu Qiu. Initially it shows disgust at being called "baby" but becomes his contracted beast. It symbolizes the power of judgment and the mastery of life and death.
