King Yama is the guardian of Blue Star, first appearing to Chu Qiu in the Yama Hall. He wears a thin cicada-wing mask that reveals only his deep eyes, accompanied by fragrant sachets. His voice is low and magnetic, carrying unquestionable majesty. He explains that he guides lost souls to their home. He provides Chu Qiu with the Book of Life and Death and later appears during the Diting trial to congratulate Chu Qiu on passing the test. His actions suggest he has his own reasons for helping Chu Qiu, as he says, "If you don't give me a reasonable reason, I really have no excuse to give you such an artifact." He exudes ancient power and serves as a mysterious mentor figure.
