Fan Wujiu, also known as Eighth Master, is the legendary Black Impermanence and the ancestor of Fan Xiaoguo. He is described as having an unusually cold expression, wearing a form-fitting black outfit, holding a soul-hooking chain, and a tall black official hat inscribed with "Peace Under Heaven." His arrival lowers the temperature around him. He speaks very little; during his appearance at the Legend Management Bureau, he only nods and says "No" when asked. He is portrayed as stern and reserved, contrasting with Xie Bi'an's exuberance. He accompanies Xie Bi'an to observe the mission. He is a figure of authority and power, respected by his descendants. His presence adds gravity to the situation.
