Wang Da is a student who is present during the beating of Xi Yang. He is the first to note the severity of Xi Yang's injury, shouting that he is bleeding and someone might die, and urges others to report to the teacher. However, under threat from Zeng Xing, he stays silent. He is a passive observer who wants to do the right thing but is too fearful to oppose the bullies. He later does not report the incident. He represents the many bystanders who enable bullying through inaction.
