Xu Jia is a student and a close associate of Zeng Xing. He is described with a pointed mouth and monkey cheeks, suggesting a sly and cowardly nature. During the attack on Xi Yang, he presses Xi Yang's head against the iron railing, causing the wound that leads to Xi Yang's death. Later, when Xi Yang returns to school, Xu Jia participates in the nighttime confrontation and attempts to stab Xi Yang with a knife, but is knocked unconscious. He is easily intimidated and relies on Zeng Xing's leadership. He shows fear when the situation escalates, and his speech is often coarse and threatening. He represents the typical crony who follows the bully.
