Zhou Zhuangshi is an old man who was originally destined to die on the bus that Du Yu was on. However, instead of accepting Du Yu's offered seat, he declined because he noticed a beautiful girl at the back of the bus, which was an anomaly (a Tai Shu). As a result, Du Yu ended up in the seat that was struck by the truck and died in his place. According to the underworld records, Zhou Zhuangshi had a criminal history of rape and murder of women, and his Soul Summoning Value had reached 97%, meaning he was already marked for death soon anyway. He is described as a criminal who escaped justice in life but is destined to face retribution in Hell. His actions inadvertently lead to Du Yu's wrongful death and set the entire story in motion.
