Bjorn, nicknamed “Ironbone,” is Ragnar’s second son, just come of age. He is brave and participates in the battle against Olaf, claiming a fine chainmail from a fallen enemy. He joins the pursuit of Borg, traveling across rivers and steppes. Bjorn is courageous and loyal, and his father acknowledges his courage as a gift from the gods.
