Borg is a Norse noble who attends Eric’s convention. He openly insults Ragnar, calling him unqualified, which leads to Ivar’s duel challenge. He is a close friend of the deceased Lord Olaf. After the poisoning of Ragnheid (for which he is suspected), he flees his settlement Tushbi before Eric’s attack, leaving behind the bodies of Olaf’s family to claim innocence. He escapes to the Rus’ lands, pursued by Ivar’s vengeance party. Borg is cowardly and scheming.
