Joren is Vig’s neighbor in the northern fjord. At the beginning of the story, his house is suddenly surrounded by eight raiders, prompting Vig to take up arms and join the defense. Joren himself does not actively appear in events but serves as the catalyst for Vig’s first battle and his integration into the community.
